Aussie Boxing Round-up

FIGHT GAME has been recently tipped off by an insider at Fighters Factory who stated that their stable’s hot prospect, Oyewale Omotoso is set to challenge for the WBC World Youth Title in Mexico.

The opponents name wasn’t confirmed but two names have been touted for this bout. Omotoso also looks set to fly over to the US in order to prepare for the bout with none other than the legendary Floyd Mayweather.

It was originally reported that Omotoso would challenge current OPBF Welterweight Champion Motoki Sasaki in June, however the bout didn’t go through.

FIGHT GAME has also been recently contacted in regards to Guyanese WBC #10 Super-Bantamweight Leon "Hurry Up" Moore (22-2, 20 KOs), who is Australia-bound.

His new co-manager, Brisbane-based Kirk Pugin of KRB Boxing is currently working towards bringing him out and basing the fighter permanently in Australia. Leon's really looking forward to the challenge and the enhanced training conditions and quality sparring work in this part of the world. Kirk's plans for him are to challenge for a world title within twelve months.

In other news, Melbourne based promotional stable Prestige Sports Management has recently signed hot prospect and current Australian Bantamweight Champion Fred Mundraby to a three-fight deal.

Mundraby briefly spoke to FIGHT GAME at his new stables last promotion at the Sunshine Roller Skating Centre and stated he was very happy to be a part of the team and looked forward to fighting for them on their next promotion. Several dates were being thrown around however it looks as if they have settled for a July 16th date that will be aired live on new free-to-air channel One HD.
